Deionized Ultra Pure Water
Deionized water is created using an ion exchange purification process whereby ions are exchanged between a solution and a cationic or anionic ion exchange resin. The resin can be regenerated to be used again by reversing the process.
Some uses of deionized water include the demineralisation and deionisation of process and boiler feed water as well as the production of pharmaceutical water. Metals can be recovered using the right ion exchange resins and removal applications of arsenic and other heavy metals is possible.
